A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, improves the shape of the abdomen by removing excess fat and skin.
Starting at $13,000
A sagging, protruding abdomen can occur with age, after pregnancy or surgery, or after significant weight loss. If you’re overweight, diet and exercising are still good strategies for loosing belly fat. But these methods may not give you the result you want, especially if they leave you with excess skin.
A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that Dr. Marshall routinely performs with clients from Asheville, Hendersonville and Black Mountain areas.
It is a safe, long-lasting, and minimally painful procedure (often combined with VASER liposuction) that removes all excess skin (and sometimes stretch marks) while hiding the incision beneath your underwear or bathing suit line. If you have had children and/or lost weight, your abdominal ("six-pack") muscles are usually moved out, creating a bulge around your belly button. Dr. Marshall will suture these six pack or rectus muscles back into place eliminating the bulge and giving your belly its best definition.
The results of a tummy tuck are usually long lasting, especially in people who maintain a stable weight, healthy eating habits, and exercise.
Exparel is a long-acting local anesthetic (similar to the medicine lidocaine that you may have received at the dentist's office). We are using it in all of our tummy tucks because it works for 2-3 days and is DRAMATICALLY reducing post operative pain and downtime. We have had patients return to work in as little as four days with Exparel. It’s a game changer!
Watch a tummy tuck and VASER liposuction on a wonderful mother of 4. This amazing patient has a severe diastasis recti (separation of abdominal muscles) and low back pain. This surgery, 3.5 hours long, will restore her abdomen and improve her back pain.

Recovery after a tummy tuck usually involves about 5-7 days of real downtime, and Dr. Marshall will recommend that you wear a compressive, supportive garment. Crunches and abdominal exercises are discouraged until 6-8 weeks after surgery.
Dr. Marshall and his ENTIRE staff are phenomenal. They make you feel so comfortable and honestly like part of their family. I was recently discharged from Dr. Marshall's care after my 6 month follow up from my tummy tuck. He did so much more than remove excess skin, he gave me confidence... Read full Google review
